How soon to do Newborn pics?

Just wondering when you are all planning to have your newborn pictures done, if you are doing them. I'm scheduled for a c-section next Wednesday and my cousin (our photographer) said she is available any Saturday afterwards for us. I am wondering how soon you would do them and be up to them? I know the earlier the better as baby changes so much in the first few weeks, but also I have never been through a c-section so I'm not sure if I will be up to it so soon.

What's your plan?

    I'm a newborn photographer and suggest getting in within the first 10 days of life if you want to get the squishy, flexible, sleepy photos. 

    ETA: With a csection I would check to see if your cousin can come to your house to do the photos. If

    Great idea! I would start scoping out the light in your house and look for a spot with good natural light coming in. If you have any areas with sliding glass doors those usually work really well. If you find a time of the day where there's good light comi

    I'm planning on having them done when he's about 7 days old. :)

    I'm having a c-section scheduled the 24th and having two separate newborn shoots the first of which is penciled in for the 29th.  It'll probably be the second day home which is soon but it's important to me to get the very "posed" shots in

    From what I have read, anytime between 4 and 14 days old is best.
