Birth plan

Hi all. I'm meeting with my hospital's maternity care coordinator to do all my preregistration stuff for the hospital. She asked me to bring by birth plan if I have one so I went ahead and wrote one up real quick. Just curious how many of you all have a birth plan and what your plan is? For STM or those who've already had baby. How closely did you follow the birth plan? I know it's just a guide really and that anything can happen. Just curious if any moms' births when as planned.

  • There were a lot of things that I didn't even know happened during L&D the first time around, so I wouldn't have been able to put them on a birth plan or known that I'd have a preference etc.

  • I had one last time and I'll have one this time as well. I ended up following it exactly but for the most part it was really general stuff that I didn't want to repeat a dozen times. It was easier to say "Here's my birth plan" as soon as somebody walked i

  • FTM here, mine's more of a guideline on what, ideally, I would like to happen and then it has my preferences of how to deal with the unplanned/unexpected occurrences that may come up.  It's mostly for DH, as he'll be my advocate in the room at the ti
