Ugh. I am so not wanting to do cloth although I know it's been modernized and what not and there are the disposable inserts and everything. Just wondering what you other girls' thoughts are. Considering? Not? I showed that chart to DH and now he is wanting to do cloth bc it's so much cheaper : Monetarily, I know it's smart, but I'm not interested in extra "ick" since babies (and kids in general) come with so much anyway with spit up, poop, blow outs, etc.

You're going to have to deal with ick and poop no matter what.
IMO cloth diapers are better for the environment, better for baby's rear (no harsh chemicals from the absorbent stuff that's in disposables = less diaper rashes/blowouts, etc), and t

I've cloth diapered my daughter for a year. I started out with 12 diapers and part time, because I wasn't sure it was for me.

I've been CD'ing for 3 years now. I just used a calculator on BabyCenter. It supposedly would've cost me $2,500ish to disposable diaper my two boys for these 3 years (that's only diapering one at a time as DS1 was PT'd when DS2 was born). &
My complete stash (NB-PT) cost about $400 (shower gift). I use a hybrid snap in one size and love it (best bottoms). I'm kind of lazy and use disposables when we travel over night. I've had more problems with leaking and odor from the disposa

I switched to cloth with my last basically because we were poor, I'm cheap, and my daughter kept getting rashes with disposables. I stalked newly listed lots on ebay and built a stash of 2 dozen bumgenius pockets for about $6-10 a diaper.(i was o

I CD'd and loved it. My husband didn't want to at first for all the reasons everyone has listed here, but quickly realized it wasn't a big deal. Blow outs are worse with disposables, meaning just because you're not cleaning CSs, chances are
