Bassinet/cosleeper question

Does anyone or has anyone had LO sleep in an actual bassinet? Not the bassinet part of a pack and play?

I want to keep LO in our room for a while but I am a little worried she will start moving toward the sides of the bassinet soon.

I was thinking about getting the co sleeper thing, but our bed is raised so I am not sure if we could fix it to our bed.

Anyone have any advice about how long I can keep her in the bassinet or other options to get to keep her in something in our room longer? We have very little space in our bedroom.

Re: Bassinet/cosleeper question

  • We have a rock 'n play amid love it.  It's especially handy because you can rock it and it keeps LO at an incline.  My DD has reflux issues so it's perfect for that.

  • We have a bassinet and I hope that we will be able to use it until he is about 4 months old. He is very long and might not fit in another month.
  • We used a bassinet with DD until she was 2.5 months old and then transitioned her to the crib (she was also sleeping 7 hours a night at that point). Currently, DS is in a rock and play. It just depends how big they get. DD was getting too big for the bass

  • We use one. Once they can sit up they can't sleep in it anymore. Im hoping we will be out long before that though.

  • The crib is too big for our room. I'm trying to find something we can keep in our room after she outgrows the bassinet. Anyone have any plans to keep LO in your room longer? What will he/she sleep in? I looked at PnPs and they have the same weight limit a

  • They sell leg extensions for the arms reach co sleeper on amazon.

We use the rice socks we made for labor on each side of dd to give her security and keep her from rolling. Obviously we don't heat them for this purpose :)

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.

We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

  • We had DS1 in a PnP until he was 6 months old. There is a weight restriction on the bassinet portion of it, but then you just remove that and put them on the bottom. I'm not sure why you are worried about your LO moving to the sides of the PnP. It's a bre

  • Can anyone recommend a pack and play for use in the bedroom for after she outgrows the bassinet part? We had trouble with our graco one that we use downstairs and had to get the company to replace a part. Does anyone want to recommend theirs?
