Parenting after a Loss

he's doing it again

There has GOT to be a reason DS won't sleep for more than a couple hours a night. He's doing it again: asleep at 12:45, awake at 3, asleep at 3:45, up at 5. Is it possible for him not to want to sleep in the RNP anymore? He's not terribly interested in eating, so it's not that. I just don't get it. And it's only been 2 days.

Its so hard those first couple of months.  Honestly, there may not be a concrete reason he isn't sleeping consistantly.  Those little people are enigmas.  And what works one night may not work the next.  However, this does not last

  • Honestly, sometimes there isn't an obvious reason with itty bitty ones ::from what others wrote it sounds like you still have a newborn::. For us wake ups that frequently was usually a growth spurt. Often he'd bf a ton and wake every couple hours...but

  • Thanks ladies. I know it will end eventually, it just sucks in the meantime! PP, LO is 10 weeks. I think we'll try the pack n play or the crib tonight and see how it goes. He is passing a decent amount of gas like he normally does. He's in a wonder week,

  • If it makes you feel better, my LO is 10 weeks old and does this sometimes too....despite what the books might say I really think at this age they just kind of do what they do. Regarding the RNP, I would try to get him out of that of you canI have two clo

  • Sorry to repeat everyone else, but it does seem that he wants out of the RnP. I transitioned DS to his crib by having him nap only in the crib for about a week. Once he was used to the crib, we didn't have problems at night. I agree that they just get

  • I kept DD in her RNP until she was like 3 1/2 months.

Maybe let him fuss a little but and see if he will go back to sleep. I know in the beginning any little sound DD made I grabbed her or started to soothe her , which I think just woke her
