soapy taste in mouth

i am 11 weeks pregnant and as of yesterday noticed a "soapy" taste in my mouth whenever i eat or drink anything. has anyone else experienced this? i can't find anything concrete online, mostly just other peoples opinions.

    Yes, but mine may have been legit. I have to wash everything through the dishwasher twice now to make sure all detergent is off. I also got rid of all old plastic tupperware I'd pack lunch in and heat up. Heat made it worse. I got glass bowls so I wouldn'

    i thought that at first, but tried eating off of paper plates and drinking out of disposable water bottles to see if it made a difference. unfortunately, the taste is still present :(

    Perhaps your dishes aren't getting rinsed properly? I know whenever DH does the dishes I can still smell/taste soap on them. Crazy pregnancy senses... Also I generally have a funky taste in my mouth all throughout pregnancy. It's just a hormonal thing but

    no, see my post above for explanation. also, we ate out last night and i had the same taste. it seems to be ever present. maybe a just a hormonal change as i go into my second trimester?

    I have been experiencing the same thing...mine's kind of like a mix between metallic and soapy...just all around gross.  It started over the weekend and has been non-stop.

    Glad you posted this.  I have been having a gross taste in my mouth at all times other than while eating for the last several days. It is sooooo annoying.
