How long did you wait to TTC #2/3/etc?

How long did/will  you wait before TTC again?  Why did you choose that amount of time?

I know this will vary based on everyone's experiences, age, and several other factors but am curious to see the reasonings.  I also know that we've all been in the same boat that while we'd love to just plan things out - it doesn't always happen as we want so that's why I'm posting the question on this board.  I have friends that have their lives all mapped out "I had DS1 at 28, had DS2 at 30 and will have a DD at 32".  Must be nice to have ovaries that follow orders, lol.

About me  2007: Started TTC. 2008: OB prescribed clomid, went to RE and was Dx with PCOS. 2009: IUI #1 w/follitsim and trigger = BFP. B/G Twins born at 33 weeks. 2012: TTC #3, Round 2 of Letrozole w/TI = BFP, missed m/c at 8 1/2 wks. Currently on the bench as we make plans for a new home. Anxious to start TTC #3 within the next year!

    We had planned to space kids out every two years but when we had twins we decided that we'd wait 4 years befor ttc#3.  Logic went out the window and we started ttc again when they turned 3.  The m/c scared us off a bit and we decided to put thin

    We waited 6 months to TTC #2 (technically I didnt get AF until she was 8 months but thought I could catch the first egg).  DD was an easy baby and I wanted them close together so I figured why not go for it thinking we would need assistance again



    TTC#1 for 19 months with PCOS and MFI IUI#3 + injectables = BFP!!!!  Beta#1-134(13dpiui) Beta #2-392(15dpiui)

    We've always wanted to have our children close in age, 2 yrs or less apart so we figured we'd start trying right away after DS was born. We tried on our own but I didn't get my first postpartum period until 10 months. We started trying with meds in July k

    I think we both want to start trying right now. And we aren't preventing. But I'm still BFing, and never had a cycle without provera. So right now BFing is more important to me than TTC. I plan to bf till she's one. We haven't decided how long we will try

    We started looking into our treatment options (ie, insurance coverage) about a month before I fully weaned DS.  It took 2 years for DS, and we knew that ideally we'd like our kids about 2 years apart so we started to get things rolling a few months b

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
    TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
    Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    We easily conceived our first and our plan was to try for a second right away.  I was 35 and we knew we wanted a bunch of kids (or, I did, DH probably didn't care too much) so we didn't want to wait too long.  Good thing we didn't as it turne

    Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

    I think we were hoping for two years. My brothers and I are close in age, DH and his brothers are around 5-6 years. 

    That being said, while we aren't actively trying right now, we aren't preventing (other tha breastfeeding). We are unexplain

    Me-36, Unexplained Infertility, DH-35, all clear
    Clomid 50mg 12/2011 = BFN
    Clomid 100mg 1/2012 = BFN, with Cyst
    IVF #1 Lupron/Menopur/Gonal-f/HCG Trigger
    ER 4/19/12 = 11 retrieved, 6 fertilized,
    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    we are going to start trying for #2 as soon as possible after we have #1 :) it took over three years and im turning 30 in may and our original plan was to be all done by 30.

    I wanted to be done having kids by 32... before IF happened. I'm 32 now and I've changed that to 35 haha. E turned 1 last month, and I'd like to have the next one when she's 2.5-3, so we're planning on cycling again at the end of the year/beginning of nex

    I got my first PPAF at 16 mo pp. we started TTC again then. I weaned DS at 24 months in order to do a FET. Got KU instead of starting BCP to cycle. Crazy sh!t.

    I honestly don't think I would be any good with 2u2, my ideal spacing was 3 yrs b/w children. However, since it took so long to conceive DS1, we tried on our own when he turned 1 yr old. It ended up taking another 18 cycles, including treatment, so in
