My DD does this often. It's fairly recent. She can and does walk normally, but also toe walks. I wasn't concerned at all until a mom at a play date mentioned that it is linked to Autism. It would never occur to me that DD may be a autistic since she shows no signs of it otherwise. Still, just the mention of it is scary. Does anyone else have a toddler that does this? I'd rather not fall into a google hole and freak myself out. TIA.

My toddler doesn't do this, but my cousin closest in age to me growing up did this all.the.time. when we were little kids. He's 33 now and is in no way autistic.
I don't think you have anything to worry about. And stay away from google. : )

My daughter has been "toe walking" since she learned to walk. After doing research myself I took her in to be evaluated and she is fine. Her Achilles tendons are not too tight and she can walk normally but just prefers this way for now.
If you look up the signs of autism, you'll see a billion things are associated. Yes, toe walking is one potential sign but only if in addition to other issues. By itself, occasional toe walking is normal toddler behavior.
