I get all upset when a dog is locked in a car... this is unbelievable. I would have called the number right away to let the mother know it was a bad idea.
Thought I'd share this too. The whole "leaving a kid in a car" thing reminded me of how often people forget pets/kids in their vehicle and bad things happen.

I saw that earlier this week. I think there must be some kind of cultural difference in the way all the by standers were reacting and stuff.
