I attend a bible class every Tuesday night and there is a man who lives near me who does as well. I have been giving him a ride for the last few weeks. He has a mental illness prevents him from holding down a job but not from being accountable for his actions.
Tonight after class I was talking with the teacher about my pregnancy, and out of the blue he comes over and pretends to punch me in the stomach. He got about an inch away before he stopped himself. Another woman saw that and told him not to even joke about something like that. I was so taken aback by the whole thing I didn't even say anything. He said he was just "being silly" and that he knew plenty of people who got punched in the stomach and their kids turned out fine. (?!)
I still gave him a ride home but once I was able to process it I can't believe I didn't say anything or react more. DH is extremely pissed and doesn't want me to give him rides or be around him anymore and will be talking to him tomorrow.
I feel like this is an isolated incident but what if it does happen again and he does stop. If I don't give him rides he has to take an hour bus each way. I guess I just need some validation because this whole experience has just been so weird. I feel like I should e-mail him tomorrow and tell him that his actions were inappropriate and made me extremely uncomfortable and that he will be needing to find his own way to and from.
Anyone else dealing with crazies?
Re: Full Moon Crazies...

My DH's dad made a joke once about me going into labor if I saw this scary movie they were talking about, and it terrified I got mad at him and never saw that movie (even though I wanted to).

I don't blame your DH. Mine would react similarly and I'm glad.
You for sure should not be around him. that is too close for comfort.
I don't do well with unpredictable situations like that...I would suggest you let another p
