Visit with Dad

Hi Ladies

 

I mostly lurk on this site but I have a bit of a dilemma. I have a 6 month old baby girl and her father and I split. He wants to take her every second weekend. The problem is first I don't agree with that arrangement and second I breastfeed and very seldom I supplement. The problem is I don't trust him I feel he may take her and not come back. I was told if no one has custody the other parent can keep the kids until custody orders were given in court. I plan on going to court soon. In the meanwhile I was planning on letting him visit her in my home whenever. Am I being to overprotective?

    Not at all! Go with your guy. You split for a reason and you feel this way for a reason. You have every right to not allow him to see the baby at all. While you're getting court set up use breast feeding as an excuse. It's a really good one.

    What have you been doing up until now?





    Get a lawyer.  Now.    It is in EVERYONE'S best interest to have a set custody plan in place.
