Flying question

Ok, so this will probably be long, sorry. We're going to visit family and I'm probably way over thinking the actual trip. We've flown with DD before, but it will be just me and DD this time. I will have a rolling carry on, a backpack with her carseat in it, and a diaper bag.

Family has an extra stroller we can use once we get there, so I'm debating whether I really need the stroller at the airport. I have a baby ktan, but I don't know if that would work well since I have to carry the carseat bag as a backpack.  I also won this diaper bag that doubles as a baby carrier and it holds the baby up at your side. It's called a gogo babyz sidekick (sorry no picture on the iPad).

I'm thinking it would be nice to have something she can sit in if needed, but then it's just one more thing for me to carry and get through security and get checked at the gate. Anybody else fly with just you and LO? How did you make it through the airport?

Re: Flying question

  • I am flying alone with LO this weekend, so I have some of the same concerns.  I decided that I am checking a bag so all I have to carry on is LO and the diaper bag.  I just don't think I can deal with more than that.  I have an umbrella str

  • Me & DS flew a couple of weeks ago (he was 6 months). The stroller, for me, was a life saver. I have a graco literider so it's super light - I could push it and pull my luggage and it folds up in a snap with just one hand. People are so super helpful,

  • I gate checked the stroller like pp said. I would not have made it without the stroller. Not kidding. I'm also glad I took my big azz Britax because I had the under basket and it was just nice to be able to stow coats and the like under there. People were

Then and now. How did my boy get so big?

  • I always take the stroller.  Much easier to go to the bathroom and everything.  And if you we're delayed or something it would be nice to have.

I'm glad I posted because I was leaning toward no stroller! I didn't even think about going to the bathroom. Also glad to know others have made a trip by themselves without too much trouble! Thanks ladies :)
