Cutting out formula

Since about 10 months old lo has been on formula, she's now 11 1/2 months.( she had a cold and couldn't drink and my milk dried up).  I Have tried 3 different brands but she keeps throwing them up.  It only happens with the last bottle of the day but it is projectile vomit! On the floors on the walls, on her and me! We let the milk sit for about 10 minutes to let air bubbles out, we don't shake it to hard but no matter what about once a week up it comes! It's no fun for her  or me so I think I want to cut it out completely.  Her dr apt isn't for another month.  What do people think, should we keep going for a month because about 75% of the bottles stay down or give it up now.

Also Would you cut out the bottles completely or add milk and keep, going?  She drinks milk really good from her sippy cup.

Re: Cutting out formula

  • Maybe the reason why she is spitting up is because she's full? Or is she sick? My LO spits up her bottle sometimes, but I noticed it is when she's not feeling, well, lots of snot, etc.

I think you would be fine to mix her formula w/WCM at this p

  • My ped wanted us 100% wcm by 1yr, so I would start the transition.

  • I would call your pedis office and talk to the nurse about it. She could be full or her tummy doesn't like it. Wcm is not easier on the tummy. So if her tummy is the issue they might recommend another formula that is predigested.
