My DD was born at 36 weeks at 4lbs 14oz and now weighs 7lbs at 6 weeks.
She has VERY bad reflux. She's on 1.25ml of Prilosec twice a day, gripe water mommys bliss or little tummies and Mylicon.
Frankly, nothing seems to help. I can't stand that she's in so much pain and although I doubt there's a miracle cure out there, I want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything.
She sleeps on an incline, is fed upright, burped often, etc. I'm at a loss.
Yes the dosage was adjusted a week ago.
But from what I'm reading online, my pedi may be a little conservative. It seems like she should be taking more Prilosec.
I would ask for a GI referral. Prilosec worked for my silent reflux guy but not for my projectile vomiter. The GI was able to help us find the right meds and dosage.

I think you need to request a GI specialist. Often GIs are more comfortable with higher doses than pedis are. And they can run some tests (very easy, not invasive) to see what is really going on.
We tried Prilosec and it didnt work for my babe.. switched to Zantac and she is perfect. On the Zantac, she can finally lay flat and do tummy time! Never thought that would happen

He's not been diagnosed with anything, but I'm using Gripe Water with every feeding also gas drops and lactose enzymes with each feeding, then Probiotics once a day. It's cut down on his issues so far.
We did zantac twice a day and fed her upright, kept her upright for at least 30 to 45 minutes after a feed (usually laying on our chest while we were reclined in our recliners), and she slept/napped in a RNP. We also did the mylicond drops with e

The dosing my pedi was comfortable with wasn't enough for my preemie. I'd def ask for a GI consult. Mine also needed meds for delayed gastric emptying and a dairy free diet. Eating never was 100% comfortable for him as an infant.
I didn't read all the responses but I saw the meds DS was on mentioned. I put a warm "hot" water bottle on his tummy and it helped soothe his pain. The RNP wasn't enough of an incline. I also just sat up to sleep with him propped against me. I didn't real
