Mobile title: Is your name choice pissing off your family?
So, for our first DS, we named him Griffin Elliot - Elliot being my DH's father's MN as well. For this one, we definitely wanted to use a name from my side of the family. We are debating several names, but right now we are strongly leaning towards Leo Michael. Leo is my paternal grandfather's name. Michael is my brother's MN and DH's MN.
A little backstory: my parents have been divorced for more than 30 years. My mother still hates my father. She keeps suggesting names that are from her side of the family, but... they are soooo awful. My grandfather's name was Rupert. No offense if anyone likes this, but we do not. His middle name was Kie.sel. (No period normally). Pronounced like Weasel with a K. She really, really dislikes Leo. She won't admit it's all because of my dad, but I know that's why. So she keeps throwing out name choices to me that are just NOT MY STYLE at all, and it's driving me crazy.
Who else? I know we all have this problem, so tell me your name woes!

Just nod along and name your baby whatever you want. If she gets a rise out of you, then she thinks that she has a horse in the race. If you just listen and nod, she eventually stops.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
This is exactly why we won't be telling anyone our name choices until after it is put on the birth certificate.
OP, sorry your mom is being a drag. Just tell her that you've made your decision and that you aren't interested in suggestions a
On one is p!ssed off yet because we haven't shared that we are naming our daughter, or even that we are having a girl, but they will be. My Mum namely, because we are using my MILs middle name as our daughters middle name.
