Shower scheduling

My friends are super supportive and want to throw me a friends shower. I typically work on Sundays so they threw out two weekend dates and I can pick either a Saturday when I am off but the two throwing the shower may have to take off or a Sunday when they are off but I will have to take off. Should I feel guilty if I pick a Saturday when I am off since I am trying to bank my PTO for maternity leave?

    Is it at all possible to pick a night during the week that you're all off?

    I just don't see a shower as an event that anyone should have to take time off of work for!

    I would feel really bad asking a host to take PTO for my shower.  What hours do you all work?  Could you do an early breakfast shower or a later dinner shower on a weekend day?

    I would say whatever is easier for your hosts as they will be the ones having to prep for the shower and then clean up after the shower.  As pp said, I wouldn't feel right asking someone to burn a PTO day to host my s
