Annabelle, nn Anna?

What do you think of the name Annabelle? We'd occasionally use Anna as a NN.

    LOVE Anna!  Beautiful, feminine, and classic.  I would use Anna as a standalone name.

    I don't think cow.

    I like it OK-- it's way frilly for my personal taste, so I wouldn't use it.  I much prefer Anna as a first name.

    love lvoe love name. on our short list for DD.

    someone posted last week / 2 weeks ago about it.  varying opinions on how to spell it, but personally I prefer Annabelle (like you have it).

    I don't mind it, and I don't think the cow association is overwhelming (not as much as Clarabelle, at least).

    I know an Annabel nn Annie. It seems to work fine.

    I really can't stand this name.  I think cow or dog, as I have known several with this name.  Plus, it's long and clunky.  And it reminds me of Hee Haw or Petticoat Junction---those old country shows.

    I prefer just Anna and I really like it. I don't really like Annabelle but I don't hate it either. I think it works as a nn and I don't think cow.

    I love it. It's on our short list. I prefer Annabel. We would also use the NN Anna.

    I love it. Was my number 1 girl name, but had a boy instead! Good thing, because DH hates it. LOL

    I like Annabelle.

    You have the choice of Anna, Belle, Annie as nicknames then. I don't think of the cow at all.

    Or Annabella.

    I prefer the spelling Annabel. Annabelle is frilly looking. I don't think cow I think it's a nice name. It brings to mind one of my favorite poems.
