Wondering about socialization

I work from home and go into the office a couple of days each week. On the days I go in, my sis comes and stays with E at my house. E will go for days and days without seeing another kid as there are no small kids on our street. I do take her to a music class one day a week and a story time at the library once a week. There she acts shy and clings to me but will do most of the activities when I'm near by. DH is extremely shy and his whole family is the same way so this could just be her personality or a phase. Either is fine with me, but my mom seems to think that she needs to get out more. I think she's fine. So I'm wondering...

1. What kind of social time your LO is getting?

2. Are you making an effort to expose him/her to other kids?

3. What are they like when they get into a room full of other kids their age?

I've read a bit about this, but I love to hear what you ladies think. Thanks!

    DD is a daycare kid. She spends Monday - Friday with others her age, which is great because I don't know anyone else with kids within a 300 miles radius of us.

    On Saturdays, I take her to a music class and she's just as you described E - shy and

    I think that your baby is getting enough socialization time at this age.  That's awesome that you are taking her to story time at the library.  Maybe you can take her to the park as well?  I think you are doing a great job.  Here's

    1. What kind of social time your LO is getting?  Not much.  The only kids he's really gotten to play with are my nieces and the youngest one is 3.

    1. What kind of social time your LO is getting? Occasional, but not consistent.  He has older and younger cousins, so whenever they we get together with family.  I also take him to my church mom's group on a Friday about once a month

    We do playdates. That's basically it. Plus, there's the fact that DS has a sibling, so he's socialized on a daily basis.

    1.  DD loves to be out and about (she gets super cranky at home), so we keep busy with gymboree classes, music classes, and a local ymca "tiny tot" class.  I'm also in a playgroup, originally formed for my oldest child, so she's exposed

    We share our nanny with my sister, so G has his three months older cousin with him four days a week. Besides that, I take him to gymnastics and he has an art
