cervidil experience

hello,

I'm going to hosp friday night to start cervidil then pitocin the next am. I was induced once before but never with cervidil. What should I expect? will I get any rest that night, will it cause contractions? I've gone natural with my other two pregnancys and this time im am just so so nervous about it. I dont know if it's because he isnt coming on his own or if its bc im going in at night this time. Just hoping its not a long process. I had my last baby within an hour of being in the hosp so i was hoping for that this time, but doesnt look like that is gonna happen. Any input is appreciated.Thanks

I was given cervidil to start my induction. The first dose that I was given caused some mild contractions. I was only 1/2 cm dilated after it was removed. I asked for another round of cervidil and there were no contractions and I did not dilate any more.

I had cervidil with my first, I started having contractions 3 hours later. They gave me the minimum amount of pitocin at 8am, he was born at 1pm. No epidural, just 3 pushes.

Cervadil put me into labor! It was put in at 8pm and the plan was to remove it at 8am and then start pitocin. But the pitocin wasn't needed. By 6am or so, I was contracting regularly and didn't need the pitocin. The contractions were "normal" or as normal

I had cervidil with my first. I only dilated half a centimeter overnight with it and experienced no contractions. I was also only 36 weeks so my body wasn't near ready for labor. I delivered my son 18 hours after the pitocin was started the next morning.

I had cervadil overnight with my son. My water had broken twelve hours earlier without any contractions. Putting it in was the worst part. I had it overnight and it definitely caused contractions but they increased in intensity gradually. I dilated 4-5 cm
