Lower back pain/tailbone

Not sure if its just me but I'm 14 weeks this week and for about 2 weeks I have be experiencing a discomfort on my tailbone. I have read that it can be caused by ligaments lossening but when I asked my dr she said it was to early. I have been doing yoga to help but every so often I get a pain and it seems to effect my right leg. Never had back pains before. Anyone else have this?? Should I see a chiropractor or get a prenatal message?

  • First off...so sorry your having these. But absolutely see a chiro and get a massage. I started having tailbone/lower back pain around 12-14 weeks. I have had back problems for years. But, my doctor said the samething. However, my chiro told me its normal

  • That sounds kind of like the sciatic nerve pain I've been having, although 14 weeks might be a bit early for that (? - not sure, FTM here). My doctor showed me some stretches/exercises that have helped a little - I'm sure you could google and find some

    This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! 
    DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
    131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
    We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
  • I get that too and found sitting on a donut cushion helps.
  • Thanks all of you for the feedback. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have been lucky with not having other symptoms until now besides headaches here and there. Just called my dr office again for an answer but want to know what they recommend maybe physica
  • Good Luck! I've been having tailbone pain for the past few weeks too. Its mainly when I sit in the same position at my desk for too long or when I'm sitting up in bed reading or watching TV.
