If you could only take one vacation a year, would you rather go alone as a couple (just you and DH) or take the kids?
Friends of ours take go on a vacation internationally every year, and leave their two boys home with their grandparents. I can appreciate their reasons, but DH and I were discussing it last night, and we see more value in taking vacations as a family.... If we're going to spend the money, I'd rather bring the kids and create fun memories all together.
How about you?
ETA: This isn't to say I wouldn't LOVE a vacation alone with DH... But I'd prefer to just do a weekend getaway that's just us, and do longer vacations that include DD.

As toddlers: Definitely just DH and me.
As school age, where they're old enough to walk, go to the bathroom by themselves, and remember the vacation: Definitely as a family.

Definitely with the kids. I think it's so important to take family vacations together if you have the money. My dh never went on family trips with he was growing up.. like never. My parents didn't have a lot of money, but we still tra
Hmm...
I think that I would probably do every other year. Like, one year just the two of us, the next year a family vacation. But I would probably only start that once the kid(s) was school age and old enough to really enjoy it/partic

It's great to take family trips/vacations, however it's also important to nurture the relationship between YH/SO as well.
