mulitples, ftm, & showers?

so i'm having twins, i'm a ftm, and everyone keeps telling me not to buy anything, including cribs until after my shower. My shower is at a little over 28 weeks. Do you think I should wait for cribs too?? Or if things look like they might come early, start buying early? how did you decide?

Unless you're planning on putting the cribs on your registry, I see no reason why you shouldn't buy them early. Our cribs took more than 8 weeks to be delivered so I would definitely order them early. And you might not really have any notice t

I think you should do whatever you're comfortable with. FWIW, if you're babies happen to come early, you won't need the cribs right away. We don't have either crib up yet, but the babies won't be home for 2 months, so it's not bothering me.&nb

maybe my real problem is that I don't know what I actually need if not the cribs and carseats.. lol. I mean I have other stuff, but it's almost unnessecary, or so it seems. we're also cding so we'll be buying most of that.

I got all my big stuff on my own at sales. I have no problem with second hand stuff, as long as I know it passes safety inspection and meets current specs.
