Babies: 6 - 9 Months

1st Birthday Q

My husband thinks I'm being ridiculous, but I plan on booking the location for LO's first birthday on Monday. It's going to be at a park and they only have one enclosed pavilion, so I want to make sure we get it.

I've also been looking at themes for the parties. Right now, there's a 50% off sale on the theme that I want to use. Would you go ahead and order the supplies? Obviously, it would save us a good bit of money and I already know about how many people we would be inviting. Just wondering if it's worth it or if I should wait.

I hate missing out on a deal, but I know it's early to be planning.

  • I am a planner by nature and am already deciding on atheme and I want to work on little details for he party over the next few months.  I do not think it is too early to start planning.  For me I would rather work on the details little by little

  • If you're positive it's what you want, then go for it! Especially booking the location.

  • Definitely not too early to book, those things go fast. As far as ordering the supplies, I totally would, unless you just have money to burn ;o)

  • I've been planning since before she was born!
  • Never to early. My sister was telling me to book the place i wanted back in January and I put it off until the end of February and my 1st and 2nd choices were already booked! I got my 3rd but it was for Sunday because Saturday was taken already.

  • Totally fine IMO.  I buy B-Day and Christmas gifts WAY in advance when I find just the right thing or a good sale.
  • I would definitely go for it! If I could decide on a theme I would have done it already myself :)

  • eh go for it!  LO is 8 months and so far my only thought for his bday is just a cook out/open house at our place- just a come and go as you please and well have lawn games and such.

    keeping it real simple
