Flying

I'm looking online, but I figured it would be easier to find out if anyone had done it.

We're flying with Edison in May and we're getting him his own seat.  There is no way in h3ll he will sit on our laps for 2 hours.  Do you just sit them in the seat next to you?  Take their regular car seat?

 Thanks!

Re: Flying

  • I haven't flown with Gator yet but a lot of my friends have flown with kids around the same age. Although a hassle to carry, they took their carseat because the kid knew if he/she was in the carseat, it was just like being in a car...and they couldn't get

  • At this age I'd bring the carseat if you're not doing lap child.
  • We just flew to az and back. Which is 5 hours one way. We did lap but he had his own seat on the way there . He also fell asleep on the way up. Im pretty sure if you buy a seat you bring your carseat on the plane

  • If you are buying him a seat, take the carseat with you, provided it's compatible with the airlines.  It will make it a more familiar and safer experience for him to fly in his seat and you will have a reliable carseat once you arrive at your destina

  • Thanks for the suggestions!  We decided to use our carseat, I checked and it's approved to fly.  Fortunately we only have to take a carry on because my parents are driving to the same location, taking our luggage and picking us up at the airport
