Sick baby - what else can I do?

My LO is 3 mo and has a runny nose/cough for several days. We took her to the Dr yesterday but she doesn't have an ear infection or anything else. No fever either, so we sent her to daycare today. Last night was terrible. She kept waking up when we tried putting her down (she was overly tired). Finally got her to sleep around 9:30p. When she is awake, she is fussy because she doesn't feel good. We tried a vapor rub on her chest, but we don't think she liked the smell and that was part of the reason she kept waking up. We also put a humidifier in her room and bring her into the bathroom with steam several times a day.

Anything else we can try? I feel so bad for her because she doesn't feel well, but I don't know what else to do for her.

    Nose freida.. We switched to a vaporizer in her room to... Did you use the baby vVicks? We put it on her feet.. No idea if it helps but it makes me feel like I'm doing something.. Oh and we use a ton of saline drops

    I will check into the nose freida. My mom is bringing over a vaporizer later today, I'm hoping that will help.

    Lots of saline drops and nasal aspirator (but don't make the too-common mistake of nearly drowning the baby in saline) - it's important that she's getting plenty of oxygen. You might have to suction her nose as frequently as every 15-30 minutes when she's

    Also, try getting her to sleep at an angle with her head elevated (e.g. in a rock n play, in a carseat carrier - when our daughter had RSV and the flu, the ped and dr at the hospital told us this was safe - or prop up her crib or bassinet with books or so

    To clarify, I didn't mean every day, just for a little while til it improves - that's what we were told to do at first - but to avoid suctioning if we could just wipe it away with a cloth. Thanks for adding that :)

    Cuddles and sleep honestly were the best for my LO each and every time - if that meant I was letting her sleep on me then thats what I did - I spent a full day locked up in a room in our basement on the couch with a few toys, my boobs, a vaporizer, diaper

    If you find he's getting crappy sleep at night and not napping during the day, try taking him for a drive (if that gets him to sleep... and longer naps). That's what I did with mine, otherwise she was extremely fussy from the lack of sleep.
