baby shower....quick question

in August 2013 Moms
Are any of you helping to plan your shower with your host?? If you are helping to plan and it is not a surprise do you plan to be there as guests arrive or coming in a bit after. How are you planning to explain to those who were not aware you were apart of the planning??

    Why do you have to explain to anyone you helped plan it? I doubt anyone cares.

    I'm providing the addresses. I also gave them a theme idea because it was important and had meaning to my miracle baby. Otherwise I let them be in charge.

    I voiced that Dh and I wanted a Coed shower, and preferably something outdoors to be less baby shower and more picnic. Not sure why you'd need to explain to anyone that you helped...

    Not having one as a STM, but for my shower with DS I wasn't involved and got there after everyone was already there.

    I was in no way a part of the planning. I arrived early to help (was told not to) and to greet the guests who were there to see me.

    We haven't worked out any details yet but I'm assuming that it'll work about like my bridal showers. I gave the guest list and any special requests. So far I haven't come up with any special requests though. I'll probably arrive at the start time of the

    Mine will be at my parents house, I have given Mom and MIL ideas but not planning it. It is co-ed so DH and I will both get there early to help.

    Mil did not have a hard to host it in and the other one was at my sisters and I was staying at her house.

    I gave them the list and picked the theme to match the baby's nursery other than that they won't let me in on the planning though I wish they would I love this stuff and need it to keep me busy!
