Anyone use teething tablets?

Does anyone use teething tablets?  My son is teething like crazy and is so unhappy!  Our pediatrician does not recommend the tablets but we have friends who swear by them.  We are really torn on trying them.  For now we are using tylenol or ibuprofen as recommended by our pediatrician.  I was reading about the Hyland's teething tablets and saw there was a recall back in 2010.  Anyone use these or others kinds?  Do they help?

  • I've used them before. Mostly during the daytime if DS was super fussy with the teething. They work ok, but not for any significant amount of time. Took the edge off. I haven't used them since our first round of teething. Since then, I found a cold wash

  •  I love the tablets. I used them with DS1 also. The recall was mostly because the cap was not childproof, even though they would need to ingest about 1000 of them to be harmful and the bottles only contain 50. They work great and you only give two at

  • We use them, but honestly if it weren't for their amber teething necklaces I would've lost my mind by now.  Those necklaces are amazing.  :)

  • We can't use the tablets since they contain lactose but we do use the Boiron Camilia drops and it does seem to help. You can also look into using diluted clove oil.

  • We love the Hyland's teething tablets. It's really the only thing we've had to use other than teething chew toys.

  • I don't use them because my pediatrician discouraged it (at the time I believe she was referring to orajel/benzocaine).  I don't know anything about the homeopathic ones.

But I do know that the FDA says not to use anything with benzocaine b
