6 weeks is the beginning of cardiac activity. Sometimes it can be seen on u/s as early as 6.5 weeks but generally speaking you see them a little after that (like 7 weeks or so) and can actually hear a representation of it around 9-10 weeks.

my doula told me also they often do the first u/s vaginally when its that early (my first u/s is in 2 weeks and I will be 7 weeks exactly), because its easier to see/hear what's going on at that stage that way than if you do it through t
My first u/s was at 6w6d and was abdominal. My doctor's office usually does them first at 8 weeks, but mine was earlier since I have very irregular cycles. The tech was able to see and hear the heartbeat through the u/s. I don't know what the rate was, bu
It can be detected around 6 weeks, but if it isn't, then it's nothing to worry about yet as it's still early and it varies from pregnancy to pregnancy. We had an u/s at 8 weeks and saw the heartbeat strong at 168 bpm.
I was at the ED at 6w6d and we saw the heart beat at 107! We couldn't hear it but it was definitely there flicking away. I have a follow up this Thursday and I'll be 6w5d and I'm hoping to be able to hear it. Also, I had a transvaginal ultra sound b

Saw my LO's heartbeat at 5w2d transvaginally. Couldn't hear it, but when I held my breath we could get a bpm on it and it was 101. I go back next week for my 12w u/s and I can't wait to hear it.
