Advice from BTDT Moms

My son is MPI and an ex-refluxer. He was diagnosed at about a month old and was on Neocate throughout his infancy and is on almond milk and a complete milk elimination diet. I have not known him to have a problem with soy though. I am due with #2 in 3 weeks and am curious about things.

Mainly I have 2 questions:

1.)    For those with more than one, after your MSPI child was your next one MSPI/MPI or a refluxer as well?

2.)    What are your thoughts on skipping milk-based formula?s and going straight to soy (if I am not able to breastfeed?

Thank you in advance for all your input.

Re: Advice from BTDT Moms

  • If you have one MPI baby, chances are, your subsequent kids will have it too. I personally am not a fan of soy formula or soy milk because of the way it mimics estrogen in the body. I would go with Nutramigen, Alimentum, Neocate, or Elecare instead. Al
