Spark Energy Drink and Pregnancy

Anyone know if it is safe to have Spark Energy Drink while you are pregnant?  I am no longer drinking coffee but wanted to make sure this was a safe substitute

Re: Spark Energy Drink and Pregnancy

  • I really think you should check with your doctor. My personal feeling is that even if it's supposedly a better substitute for other energy drinks/coffee, I would avoid it. It's not only about the amount of caffeine, but there are other things in most ener

  • nope it is a mix by advocare...
  • I drank it here and there during my last pregnancy. I wouldn't drink it in the first tri. I think it has 150mg of caffeine a soda has 50mg. Talk to your dr. But like I said I did drink one every so often with my second pregnancy during 2nd and 3rd tri

  • Spark Energy drink - Made by ADVOCARE (With NO alcohol in it) IS ok to drink while you are pregnant. It is recommended to only consume one serving per day while either you are pregnant OR nursing. It is actually beneficial to you and the baby because it contains vitamins and amino acids. The reason they say only ONE serving a day is because it DOES contain caffeine in it. Like most sodas that are 200mg of caffeine, Spark is only 120mg per every 8oz. Here is the Advocare website and with this, you will find a chart that tells you every Advocare product that you are allowed to take while you are pregnant or nursing. I always say, if you still have doubt, ask your doctor. He/She will know whats best for you!!! :)
