  I completely agree.  It's the new "Ann" or "Lynn".

  I know at least three little girls (two of whom are Ella Grace) with the middle name and two little girls with Grace as a first name.

  Ug-- our DD's baptism ceremony was like that too.  There were only 5 babies--3 girls-- and 2 of those girls had the MN Grace.

  Meh.

  I think it often gets passed down in order to honor family so it does not really bother me. I'm all for honoring family.

  I think Grace is pretty, but it's also pretty trendy/common. When I was a kid, I think Lynn/Marie/Ann(e) were the big middle names for girls. So I liked having a 1 syllable middle name that wasn't common at all. Even though Grace IS a classic/old fashione

  It's a middle name that I am considering, because I lost a loved one with that name a few months ago.  It's certainly not a "filler" name for everyone.  My only opposition to the name is that it sounds religious.
