I am still pregnant, but I plan to stay home with my little one. My husband and I discussed that this is what we want for our family when we were dating, so when we got married, we moved into a modest apartment, paid off some debt, and set up our budget so we could live on his salary. Hubby isn't rich, its just a choice that I'm glad we were able to make. My salary would barely cover daycare and commuting costs anyway, and I will feel comfortable going back to work when my little one is around preschool age. I guess I'm just venting, but does anyone else experience these comments? What do you say?

Spoiled? No. Then again I only have a few friends with kids and they both choose to work so they're not jealous in any way shape or form of my being a SAHM.

I haven't been called spoiled, but have gotten comments in that ballpark - like "oh, must be nice" in a tone that implies spoiled.

Never, but being a SAHM is pretty common where I live. My mother and grandmother stayed home as well. I'm actually one of the few people I know that stays home that doesn't have a nanny (yet, we are getting one after #2).
