Tylenol for teething?

My little dude seems miserable and is super fussy. Anyone give their LO infant Tylenol for teething pain and crankiness? If so, did it help?

Re: Tylenol for teething?

  • Yes. It helped the first night much after that. I only give it if he seems super bed and miserable.

  • Yes, I have given it before. He had been crying inconsolably for an hour and nothing I tried was working. It helped him to settle down and be able to fall asleep. I hate to give him medicine, so I always make sure that nothing else will work first.

Yes and yes. I usually give a half dose (1.25 ml) and it does wonders.

  • We used ibuprofen (motrin) and that seemed to work pretty well.  Our pedi approved because of inflammation in the gums

     Same here.

  • I'm going to have to try the half dose option you guys have suggested. DD has been up all night the last few nights and fussy throughout the day; I'm reaching my limit. I've been giving Baby Orajel but it doesn't seem to be doing a whole lot for her.

  • Yes it heled a ton. Little man just had his two bottom teeth break through last week and it helped him sleep. Good luck!
