I posted this on 3rd tri, but thought you guys might know more about this sort of thing....
I went in for my regular appt today....HB was fine, but his chest wasn't moving like it has been the past 2 times and there was no movement on the U/S. Sent me up to L&D for a NST which ended with 'unsatisfactory' results. In the 1 1/2 hrs I was on the monitors there were only 2 movements, only 1 of which produced the heart rate increase they're looking for. I have to go back tomorrow to have another NST. What happens if that one is 'unsatisfactory' too?
I do have PIH and am being watched fore pre-e. BP was good today (until it went up in L&D.....wonder why??) and protien was only trace. I have felt a few small movements since I've been home & eaten dinner (and a chocolate shake!!)
Re: XP: What happens if you fail an NST?
I don't know what happens if you have another "unsatisfactory" result but just wanted to say try not to stress about it. It was only one time and it is very likely your baby was just sleeping and not very active at the time.
I never made it to 35 weeks but from what I hear, movement slows down towards the end of pregnancy anyway. Before you go in tomorrow, eat a high carb meal with a good amount of sugar.
