Ever since the 4 month sleep regression started our whole bedtime routine has gone to crap! In addition to the 4 month sleep reg. we switched reflux meds as well. For the past almost 3 weeks it has been a battle to get C to bed. We start our same routine around the same time and we fight for almost 2 hours! We bed share since the beginning, with the reflux it was literally the only way he would sleep. When we try and lay down he will kick his legs up in the air for easily an hour and strain to pass gas. With the new reflux med and elimination of all dairy in my diet I thought something had to give by now. Of course the pedi says that all babies have gas. But he is getting up every couple of hours straining to pass gas. He used to just wake up to dream feed but not anymore.
We've done tummy time, tummy massage, colic calm, and bicycling.
I was thinking we may have to do an earlier bedtime but since he sleeps with us I don't know if I could actually go to sleep at like 6:00. I just don't know what to do anymore.
Any voodoo secrets anyone knows to get my baby back??? I thought 3 weeks we would at least be making an improvement.
I know gas is normal but it seems beyond excessive!
Sorry for the ramble! Any words of wisdom or has anyone overcome this? Maybe someone else out there may be going thru the same thing?
Re: Bedtime Battle
D has always had really bad gas at night and would strain and wake up from it. Since we started the oatmeal with the pre and probiotics in it it seems easier for him to pass gas. He will still grunt a bit at night and tense his legs, but now he sleeps
