Where did you start?

Hello  ladies,

 

I am sure this question is asked a lot  but  here it goes. My husband and I are expecting our little one in September and have decided that we will be trying cloth diapers. I met a wonderful woman today that runs a cloth diaper store on-line and she was so full of information that I think I am even more confused than when I woke up this morning. 

 Where did you start doing research on cloth diapering? Is there a guide or particular source that you ladies would recommend? I feel a wee bit overwhelmed!  Thank you so much for your advice and words of wisdom!

    I started with Cloth Diapering 101 on youtube. Its a 7 part series that's very informative without being over whelming

    Thank you ladies for the advice and I feel like a total dork for not seeing the FAQ section before. :facepalm: 

    Time to go read everything and watch the youtube videos!

    I googled "cloth diapering a newborn" and variations and read everything. I've got no idea how many hours I read. Starting with general guides and blog posts then reading specific reviews. There is lots of good info out there!

    I started by asking my BFF who is CDing her son.  She was really helpful.  In addition to that I have lurked on CD boards to learn the lingo and read about other's experiences.  I also checked out a couple of blogs and Youtube videos. &nbsp

    I just wanted to add Pinterest is a good resource. I have found some good tutorials on detergent, prepping and stripping cloth diapers on Pinterest.
