One of my relatives offered to throw me a sprinkle. Im not sure if I should accept. My son is 18 months old and all I need are diapers formula and a couple small things. Is it rude to have them this close? Im having a boy this time also.
That's pretty gift grabby, IMO, however, since it was offered, I would take them up on it and only invite the female relatives on the side of the family that the host is part of.

Since someone offered to throw you one you could accept. However, I would keep it very small and don't do a registry or suggest in anyway what guests should buy you.

I would decline. There is no polite way to tell people to only bring you diapers and formulas. Also, if that's all you need, then I think it's nobody's responsibility but your own to buy them.
