baby swings

Can anyone recommend a baby swing for us? Also, what about the combination swings and bouncers?

  • I'm a first time Mom and I clicked on your question to read some answers myself.  All I can say is Baby Bargains is releasing their newest edition of their book this week.  They safety test all the baby equipment and find the best choices for pa

  • We really liked the InGenuity Cradle and Sway swing at Babies R Us. I didn't check the safety on it yet, but the arms on it and the extra arm with bar underneath on the back (in case it breaks) made me feel really assured that he would be safe in there

  • My children hated the swing and we went through two of them.  They loved the bouncy seat though.  These are one of those purchases that ur children either like or hate.

  • DS hated his baby swing. It sat in the corner unused for a few months before we gave up. We'll probably lug it out and see if #2 likes it- but if not we did just fine without it. I don't remember what the brand was- something very middle of the road fr

  • I had a snug a bunny which was the hot great swing when DS was born. It is really nice, but looking back I wish I would have gotten a smaller travel swing. Would have made visits to gmas houses easier.

I'd recommend one that plugs in like th

  • They used Mamaroos in the NICU and they were pretty awesome. IMO they cost about the same as a good swing, aren't that big, and have different settings. DS's neighbor was really fussy and they would put him in that and he would be out.
  • I would just say dont spend too much on them. I used my bouncy seat five times ever but my.son loved the swing. FriendS of mine have had babies who hated the swing and loved the bouncy seat. You never know what your baby will like.

  • We never had a swing for DS and I didn't miss it at all.

The bouncy seat, one that actually bounces and doesn't just vibrate, was the big hit in our house.

I don't intend to get a swing this time either, but I'm not against try

  • I got a really nice 6 speed graco swing at a consignment store. It was super nice...nature sounds, 5 point harness, mobile on the swing. It retailed for about 160 at the time and I snagged it for 40. Great buy and I don't feel bad if baby ends up not liki

  • My coworkers chipped in and bought me a Fisher Price Rainforest themed swing that plugged in and DD LOVED it! She napped in it every day..It has so many sounds, speeds, positions. I kept all of my stuff and will be using it with DS. I hope he loves it a

  • We have the Fisher Price Zen swing. DS loved it and so did we. We had to wait until he weighed enough to use the swing function, but we always used the seat, which was easy to move around the house. I remember sitting it on the dining room table or on
  • We got a hand-me down fisher price swing. It's pretty cool and can swing in both front to back or side to side motions. But DD despised it, so I'm sure glad we didn't pay much
