I stay at home right now. got laid off right after LO got here. i am looking for work though because unemployment doesn't last forever.

so my mom finds out I have an interview last friday. first she starts by talking about all the stats showing that daycare kids learn bullying early and only the "top 10% avoid being bullied and are the bullies". and its just too bad i don't have family nearby to watch her instead of daycare.

then she starts asking if we like where we live enough, couldn't we just move somewhere less expensive? so i can stay home. its really best for my kid...

we own our home, DH has a good job with great benefits. what are we supposed to do, just leave our house and pack up and move somewhere less expensve but with no jobs ready? are you kidding me? why is it that so many people of that generation want to push styaing home? I mean, sure my mom did it until i was 12, but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with daycare. DH grew up in daycare and wasn't bullied and isn't a bully himself.

just wish she could support me in what i need to do for the betterment of my family rather than just push staying home all the time. i'd do it if we could afford it, we just can't.

I think she's just saying this crap, because she wants to keep W while I work. So she can parent the way she wants to..

seruiously different. i have 2 sisters and we are all verry different. my sisters are like my mom, passive agressive and little overbearing (lil sis said she flat out refuses to date any guys she can't walk all over, she doens't want them telling
