Re-Intro: Sadly, I'm Back

Hi, ladies. I was here on 3T for a few months in late 2012/early 2013 before getting a surprise BFP on cycle 16, the last before we tried IUI. Despite everything looking good early on (nice betas and all that), the pregnancy didn't work out. We went to the RE for an ultrasound at what should have been 7 weeks to find that the baby was only measuring 6 weeks. We went back a week later, hoping that we'd see a weeks worth of growth, but it was only measuring 6w1d. We decided to see if I miscarried naturally, but that hasn't happened, so we went back today for another ultrasound. The baby is still measuring only 6w1d (which we expected), but the gestational sac is continuing to grow, so clearly my body isn't recognizing the loss. On Friday, I'm taking meds to induce the miscarriage, hoping to avoid a D&C if possible.

Obviously, this isn't how we hoped things would go, but we're trying to be optimistic and appreciate the fact that we were at least able to get pregnant. Though sad, I'm ready to move on. Our current plan is to maybe give it a shot on our own again for a month or two but then move right on to clomid + injectibles + IUI, which is what we were planning to do before the BFP.

All that to say, I'll be hanging around this board again (as well as at TTCAL), though I might be lurking more than posting until we can get back to the point where we can actually try again. Good luck to you all!
