Babies: 3 - 6 Months

baby WILL NOT stop playing with bottle!

just recently, my baby is been playing around with her bottle when i feed her. she's clearly hungry, but she'll drink some milk, chew on the nipple for a while, drop it on purpose and cry if i don't give the bottle back to her, what gives!? depending on her mood, she'll sometimes finish it and other times she'll only have about 4 oz (she usually eats 6). mostly she just chews on the nipple and throws the bottle and cries until give it back to her. anyone know why?

  • OP, it sounds like you are letting her feed herself the bottle (like you aren't holding her or it anymore). Maybe sitting in a quiet room, and feeding it to her like when she was younger? I see that you're a SAHM and I'm assuming this is your first child,
