Moving out of the RnP - HELP!

I started putting LO in the RnP to sleep back in November when he was sick and the doctor told me to elevate his head. He's been sleeping in there ever since.

He's going to outgrow it soon, so I need to get him used to sleeping flat again. Last night we tried putting him in the cradle, he woke up every hour and it was difficult to get him back to sleep each time. About 3:30 or 4:00 am, I just put him back in the RnP because I was so tired, he slept the rest of the night. (He's been STTN for a couple months now in the RnP.)

Any tips?

I've thought about the Magic Sleepsuit, but he's a big boy, at his 6-month almost a month ago visit he was 28.25" tall and 20 pounds, he wears size 12 month clothes. Magic Sleepsuit biggest size is 9 months.

  • We have the 9 month Magic Sleepsuit. DS was 27" and 18 lbs at his 6 month checkup and it seems like he has room to grow in it. Just to give you an idea of size. GL!

  • What I did was gradually increase the time he was in the crib.  So I'd put him down in the crib, he'd sleep like an hour or so, and when he woke up I'd move him to the RnP.  Next day, crib first, he'd wake up, then I'd rock him back to sleep,

  • Charlotte slept in the Boppy Newborn Lounger for the longest time and sometimes still does when she is sick.  To get her out of it and into the regular crib, we did this:
