2nd Trimester

Placenta Previa... also on Oct board

SO had my NT scan done and everything looked PERFECT I even opted out of the blood work... Little bean was so cute and moving like crazy :D But I have a complete placenta previa, they are hoping that it moves up by 18 weeks. I "think" I had a  partial previa with DS this early on, and it moved up. Anyone else have this? I am going to google and look up risks, I think that it isn't of concern until 34 weeks. But the specialist then tells me not to be lifting....as she looks at my almost 15 month old, 23lb son. I quickly say.... "Oh yeah right!"... I am a stay at home Mom, DH works long hours, and DS does not walk yet AND is majorly teething. Then she says.... well you really need to try not to, and if you start to bleed put in a pad and call your OB and remind him you have a complete placenta previa. UGH!

I am almost in 2nd tri and wanted to see if any of you ladies further along had this and it moved up... Thanks!

  • I have no great advice for you but I know what its like for the docs to tell you something like not to lift your kid and you're like ummm sahm here.

While I do work nights (Friday-Monday 11p-7a) I consider myself a sahm. The kids dont go to dayca

  • I just got the results from my 20 week us last week and I have this.  My OB scheduled me for another ultrasound at 28 weeks to check if the placenta moved up, she said if not, they would continue to monitor it and most likely I would end

  • I was diagnosed at 14 weeks and at my a/s at 20 weeks it had resolved. I was placed on pelvic rest with light activity. I did have a bleed and spent an evening in the hospital but since then everything has been fine.

  • I was 14 weeks when I was told I had this. I will have another scan at 20 weeks to see if it has moved.

Dr didn't seem worried at all so...fingers crossed...everything moves as it should.

  • I haven't myself but have heard many times of it moving as your uterus grows. You're still so early that I think you can be quite hopeful it'll shift. That is less likely in a VBAC woman.
  • From experience, it's a little early for them to be "scaring" you like this. There is still so much time for this to straighten itself out. I know from my own experience and from what friends have gone through. I was told very early on that this was a
