We're expecting a July baby, but struggling to find a girl name that we both love. Right now Natalie Sophia is a front runner for a girl, but is it weird to use a name whose origin refers to Christmas for a summer baby? Am I over thinking it?
Yes, the name Natalie is derived from Italian and Latin references Christ's birth and is apparently very appropriate for Christmas babies. I had no idea of the specific meaning until I became interested in the name. I wasn't sure if this is common k
I named my daughter Natalia which means born on Christmas in Italian but she was born on Holy Thursday in April. Not once has anyone said anything to me. I usually get awesome feed back on her name. Love Natalie Sophia.
Yes, you're overthinking it. Natalie is a great name and not reserved just for holiday babies. Actually, I would rather a summer baby with the name than a Christmas baby.
My LO is named Natalie and she was born in February. I never cared about the meaning. Natalie is a beautiful name for babies of any season. I loved the name Natalie ever since I knew of actress Natalie Portman. Its the perfect name IMO.

I would have never noticed. Natalie is a pretty recognizable name on its own I think, maybe if you were considering Noel or something it would be a little weird.
My name is Natalie and I was born in July. I think I am the only person that has ever had a thought about it. I am 38 years old and have never had anyone question it. And by the way, I love my name. Hope this helps.
I feel that way about Noelle, I always think it is strange on someone not born around Christmas but also weird on someone who IS born around Christmas, haha. But I feel like Natalie isn't as immediately associated with Christmas anymore and that it is tot
