I was just throwing ideas around. I did not mean to be rude. we are looking at either a Friday before the long weekend or that Sunday.
just a sidenote, I am marrying nick and we are not going to the courthouse. although things are tight I do deserve a wedding pregnant or not. it is going to be small and pot luck style but it will be a declaration of love and family. if you guys don't want to hear this stuff and would rather I post elsewhere please just say so.

    I wouldn't worry too much. I think most people were just trying to explain. If you want it that Thursday do it up. Honestly I'd go if you we're family or a close friend. But my job is fairly flexible. Aiming for evening might get a few more people there.

    I don't think you were being rude! You said only 30 people are going to be invited. Obviously those people are very close to you and would most likely be willing to take the time off work if needed. If you were inviting 300 people that would be a complete

    I don't think you were rude - or anyone else for that matter!

    Of course you deserve a wedding, but you know that a courthouse is just as legit as a church.  it was just an option.  From what I read you want to have a small ceremony/dinn

    When I got married, we got married at the courthouse...had a ceremony outside in a gazebo.  If I had my choice it would've just been me and my H(ex) and the judge, but his mother pitched a fit so we did a ceremony.  It was quite humorous actuall

    We did a courthouse wedding and then a big wedding in the church and reception in our backyard 6 months later.  The only reason we did the courthouse wedding was we were in escrow for my grandfather's house and in order to get his property tax rate w

    You asked questions and people responded and none of the responses were rude. You also have to put yourself in your guests shoes, would you want to take a day off during the week, could you afford to, what about guests with kids that have homework and aft
