Boo. Cavities.

Get your child to a dentist before I did (3.5). DS has 4 cavities and needs them filled (they're the back molars).

Sigh.

    Bummer!  Have not taken DD yet at 2.5 years, but will do so this summer. Our dentist doesn't like to take kids until they are 3 or until they keep their mouths open upon request.  

    Did they make any recommendations for cavity prevention

    Well, part of the issue was the actual shape of the molars with deep grooves. And now that he can spit, we are using fluoride toothpaste. Plus brushing twice a day (prior we were only doing nightly) and flossing (haven't tried yet).

    Sorry. I have always had cavity prone teeth and had a lot of fillings as a child. I used to love the laughing gas! Will they put that sealant stuff on baby teeth, or only when the permanent ones come in?

    I have no clue about the sealant. Definitely something for me to ask at the next appointment.

    Booo... And I remembered something. I had a few cavities in my baby teeth, then  had the sealant put on when I was 9 or 10, BUT... by the time I was in my late teens the PH or whatever in my mouth changed and  my dentist actually said "woah,
