Hi Ladies- I have my first RE appointment tomorrow, and all of a sudden I am getting REALLY nervous. I am due for AF any day now, so I am hoping we can start treatment immediately. I already had HSG, and DH had SA. I would be starting my 3rd round of Clomid this cycle if I didn't go to RE (I can still start it). Anyway, I was kind of hoping since timing is right, I could start treatment this cycle, but insurance company tole me they need a second SA from DH before we can go ahead. Ugh- do you think he can get 2nd analysis tomorrow? Anybody have any experience with this? I am 36 and have been TTC for 6 months. I am anovulatory and have not responded to Clomid yet but HSG is clear. DH has some morphology issues. I am wondering if they will be aggressive and send us right for IVF? Thoughts? What was your first appt like? What do I need to know?
I just wanted to wish you well. I am sure it will feel great to have a plan. IVF/ICSI was our only option ever so I cannot really help when it comes to other options. Good luck tomorrow

I was very nervous for my first appointment, but hopefully yours will go as well as ours did and you'll feel better after it's over. We spoke for about an hour with ours, went over our histories, and asked questions. After, a NP did a quick exam on me.

Hello! Wishing you the best with your appt! Have you abstained for the past 3 to 5 days? If yes, I would imagine he could get a SA if they have the staff ready to analyze it. If it has been longer or shorter since you have had you know what then they migh

Thank you all SOOO much! I didn't think to bring a notebook- and I know the receptionist said we will be there for a few hours, so I will bring one with me so we don't have information overload. I will post an update tomorrow...
Don't be nervous for your appt. I, so understand though...I kinda did the same. Write down some basic questions to ask. Believe it or not, I looked on the internet to help me with some basic one, since you don't
At my first appt, I had a ton of bloodwork, DH has his repeat SA (we were told beforehand though, so if you weren't I doubt he will get one) and we talked to the RE. Took about two hours I think. Unless you already know you can only conceive via IVF, I do
You will love it because you feel like you are getting help. My RE told me Clomid was a waste of time if you are over 33. Best decision I ever made as I got 2 beauties out of it! best of luck and don't be nervous.
