Embryo Donation/adoption

Hi ladies,

I posted this in pregnant after IF but received advice to cross post here as well.

My wife and I have been going through fertility treatments and recently were told that out options are limited. More specifically my AMH is too low and my eggs are not viable.  We are considering our other option, such as using her eggs in my womb and domestic adoption but we came across embryo donation and I wondered if anyone here has had experience with this?

Largely we are very concerned about putting out all the money for IVF and having it be unsuccessful.  That idea is making it hard for us to make a decision.

 Thanks

Re: Embryo Donation/adoption

  • Hello, not sure if you mean embryo donation/adoption? Your title says egg, but the body mentions embryo donation. :) I replied to you on PAIF, but just in case you didn't see AND you're asking about embryo donation, here's what I said over there:

  • Thanks for posting this response. Lurker here just toying with the idea of embryo donation at the same time as investigating adoption.
***************************** Our beautiful daughter was born in October 2009. Turns out she was quite the miracle. After two years of TTC, diagnosed with DOR. A couple of failed treatment cycles later, we decided to let go of our hope for more biological children and explore adoption.

  • Regarding Embryo Adoption.  The NEDC will not work with same sex couples.

Snowflakes works with any faith, no faith or same sex couples.  Be aware that in the Snowflakes program the donors choose the embryo recipients, much like

  •  I have another app on monday and have no problem asking them for any info you may want.  I am doing embryo adoption (I have no eggs).  We have tried adoption, foser care and well failed adoptions and returning foster kids are hard.&nb
