Parenting after a Loss

Diapers

Ok, it's time to have a brand and type discussion.

The last week and huge poop blow out this morning have taught me that Luvs suck. They don't hold up to a night of peeing or a daily poop.

I've tried some generic and off brands, and they're ok, but not great, an they're often made of more plastic like material.

Pampers and Huggies seem to work really well for us. The H seem to run smaller, so we use those when we first up sizes and then get P for the second half of the size. But I have a Q: anyone really know or see the difference between the "dry" versus the "snuggle" versions in either P or H? I can understand the difference in the "cruisers," although we're not there yet, but I haven't really seen a difference between the other two.

What does everyone else use and why? Any recs?

  • We are pampers all the way, here.  We used to do swaddlers when DS was little, but switched when he was sleeping 12 hours a night because I'd notice his onesie would be damp in the crotch area in the morning.. since switching, we've not had that prob

  • We use Target by day and Huggies Overnights. We've used Pampers ::swaddlers and baby dry, depending on size:: and Huggies as well. No problems with any. We use Target and Huggies mostly for cost reasons. Targets fit like Pampers but cost half as much.

  • Luvs are great once your kid is having solid poops consistently.  They're horrendous for liquid poops; at least they were here.  They're freaking fantastic for pee absorption, though.

Once I stopped changing his diaper at night, I found

  • We've been using the Pampers Swaddlers and haven't had any type of leakage yet. It took us a couple tries before finding something that could keep our little man's urine in, and we didn't even have to adjust his little man to keep it from leaking. We're t

  • Pampers Baby Dry are cheaper than the Cruisers for a reason. They are made with a different material to absorb the pee. If the diapers aren't changed fast enough they burst and this puffy granular stuff comes out all over the place and it is very messy

  • We use Costco brand mostly. Sometimes target/walmart or Huggies (Little Movers). Pamper's don't fit DD well because she is short. We've never had a problem with any diapers leaking more than others or anything like that so I don't know about that. I just
