NBR Work Advice

I have been ask to interview for a position that would pay me roughly a 30% increase with similar benefits.   I am not happy at my current job and don't feel like I am working to my potential at all and it is getting worse by the day.  This is a recent change to our office/department/management atmosphere.   I very much like the group of peers that I work with and I am "comfortable".

The interview is for a company that is very ridgid and I am not sure that I would like that atmosphere alot better but it is alot better pay and role increase.  The new place would be about 15 minutes to work where now it is almost 40 minutes.   I would be required to work 50 hour weeks (which is what I pretty much do now, just not mandatory (kind of )).

I really think I am going to at least interview and then go from there.   They are block interviews so it will take a half of a day at least.

I think I just need some encouragement that change will not be the worst thing.  And to ramble!  After all, it is just an interview.

Thanks for listening ladies.

  • Between the better pay and shorter commute I would go with it! Sounds like a great opportunity to change things up a bit.

  • I'm on Team Go For It!  It will take some getting used to (especially no Bump time during the day!) but if the job will make you happier and is a better fit for you it will be worth it!
